NACEA Entrepreneurs Meeting
The First NACEA Networking Meeting was a great success as more than 45 people crowded into the Scotch Plains Library meeting room and separated into subgroups for intense and satisfying group meetings.
The three subgroups were Biotech & IT, Engineering/New Energy/Environment, and Trading/Finance/Other businesses.
Felicia Zimmerman of Fast Track English started the meeting by giving a very entertaining presentation on communication skills. The audience participated vigorously by asking many useful and informative questions, including questions about how and where to meet prospective investors or business partners.
The participants then separated into three subgroups for an intense session of networking and mini presentations. The number of audience members in each group was deliberately kept small in order to facilitate ease of communication and rapid networking between the participants.
Not only did we have the chance to hear Felicia Zimmerman's onsite coaching on communication skills (a very interactive one that engendered a lot of questions), everyone at the meeting was able to get connected with everyone else and become more motivated and inspired by the project presenters. The cozy environment of the meeting room also helped create an atmosphere where people wished to linger. The meeting lasted till the library closed at 5 pm and over 20 people stood outside the closed library to continue their talks.
If you are a dedicated entrepreneur or entrepreneur-to-be, or a sincere support of NACEA efforts, please join us as formal members. We have monthly meetings and network events designed for you to meet and know more similar minded, and expand your business opportunities.
